recently bought a samsung 37"r8 lcd tv and connected my samsung hd850 upscailing dvd via hdmi.problem is when i turn to the hdmi ext channel on my tv, it just gives me a screen full a multi coloured dots or a distorted player menu,this happens most times although sometimes it is fine. it happens through all three channels,i have tried two different hdmi leads, thing is my xbox360 elite is spot on every time. please help as iam gutted.

bought one off ebay, 1.5m long £8 delivered. works a treat had no problems with my samsung dvd to toshiba lcd.you don`t always have to buy mega expensive kit for it to give pleasing results.hope this helps
wharfdale fan problem

just bought a wharfdale dvd recorder with hard disk,the problem is when the machine is on standby the cooling fan turns itself on every so often for no reason. is this a fault? :/

bought a digihome pvr from argos, had it 4 days and had nothing but trouble with it. my question is because it is exempt from the 16 day money back return, will they still give me a refund as it is clearly faulty. symptoms are channels tune in and out even though i can get freeview on my old box, it switches to standby mid record. i dont want a replace ment as i have read of the problems with this model. anyone know what to do? >:(
