RE: DVD ROT! Has my disc got it ?
Well, my Terminator R2 Disc surface looks pretty awful but visually nothing is wrong with it on screen. So should I just stick with it ??.

Don`t know about famous, but the shoreline scene when they have to jump from the boat in "The Mummy" is about 30 miles away from me. I`ve even stood on the very same piece they stood on!!.

Scooby Doo get`s cut!!
HA HA! Even Scooby isn`t safe now!!!. A kick to somone`s head has been denied us all for the sake of a PG rating instead of a 12. I wish the useless 12 rating was scrapped to be honest, far too many are cut for a PG nowadays, even my beloved Attack of the Clones movie!.
At least if the jump was from PG to 15, more movies woudn`t suffer cuts for cash benefits at the box office.

Friday the 13th - utter garbage!.
What a poor film this really is. There are 2 memorable moments in it but very little else.
I`d only see a couple of the newer sequels to this long running saga before finally watching the original one, but the hype generated by this "oldie" isn`t justified.
Halloween arrived 2 years before this trash and is in a different league!.

Having Libraries with DVD`s is a very good idea. £2.50 a week here in Salisbury.
Now if only the people using them would stop damaging them and treat them like their own!!. Scream 3 was unplayable after an hour!!.

Does anyone have this Amp ?. I`m very interested in this model and wondered if it really is as good as reviews have said it is ?.
Robocop R2 menu problems
Has anyone else had problems with some of the menus on the R2 Robocop Disc ?. I have a Toshiba SD 2109B and it will not access the Deleted Scenes or trailers directly. You have to type in the Chapter numbers manually on the remote to get to the scenes.
I`ve only encountered one or two DVD`s like this in the past....
Which Amp to go for ???
Denon 1602 or Yamaha AX-620 ???. I only want to spend around £300 max...

The movie is cool. But this may or may not bother you but I beleive it`s presented in 4:3 ratio, at least on the R2 version.

Arnie in T2 was a joke character. Robert Patrick had the best part as the mysterious T-1000. Having Arnie is any film ISN`T the reason I see his films, it`s that they`re usually well done, his "acting" is the worst part of any of the films he`s appeared in. Saying next to nothing is the best thing he can do!!. $30 million for him, GET someone cheaper I say!.

I`ve bought 24 movies on DVD so far. Some have been upgrades from VHS versions of the same film. Had a DVD player since March 00.

The Terminator, not Terminator 1 !!. Why do people always say "1", that`s not the title and never was. Sorry, but it`s just that calling these films "1" all the time bugs me.

Headbutts are the current "no-no" in British releases. Remember when alot of the martial arts weapon usage was cut from Ninja movies years ago. They always have to pick on something it seems.
Tomb Raider Print
Does anyone else think the Tomb Raider Print is abit grainy ?. Well, the movie moves at such a speed, you hardly get anytime to notice it too much. Movies that come to mind as far as Best print quality goes, Pitch Black, The Mummy and Blade.

I think rather than an actual cut, you get a substituted scene/image. Apparently Lara Croft:Tomb Raider suffered the same fate, but the "cut", is not anything you`d notice if you`ve only seen one version.
Censorship still stinks whatever the law thinks is right.

Well, I`d never seen the whole film until I`d bought it, in any case, I still think it look`s great. As far as the story goes, I assume the info about the clock is hidden(what you don`t know can`t hurt you sort`ve thing?). And scenes that don`t quite fit ?, look at T2 as well then.
The Truck is clearly wrecked when it jumps down to the level where John Connor is then, next scene, miraculously is "fixed up" abit so the wheels are still ok. Also, if you follow the whole scene, you see that different areas keep springing up in the background. But it`s still an amazing action movie.

Mad Max R2
Is this version conventional 2:35:1 or anamorphic ?. I know the Mad Max 2 DVD is just 2:35:1, so is the first movie the same ??.

That`ll change, HAS TO!!!. Many titles get thrown about, especially the more absurd ones.
Revenge of the Jedi was the definate title for part 3 right upto about 2 months to go to release. The Black market was in full swing and so the title was altered very late on to ensure the market was killed off!.
Lucas will say otherwise about the title change. The Clone wars has to figure somewhere in the new parts, why not just THE CLONE WARS ?.

The most reliable place to watch films uncut is the TV!!. Many times recently I`m seeing the full versions of films I`ve had on VHS for years, only to realise the missing scenes.
I say this as some DVD releases have been poor efforts, the Predator edit being one criminal release.
And because the BBFC has decided to edit headbutting in movies in Britain, I shall stop headbutting people accordingly. Thanks BBFC, you saved me there......
