Burners that only burn 8X to DVD+ are not true 8X burners & there could be problems playing discs. The next generation 8X + & 8X - will be true 8 speed. If the Aldi burner is a Pioneer it will be a better buy. There is also a LG that has + & - with RAM on as well around the £100-00.

Downloaded a similar programme, had similar problem. Running spyware programmes rectified it. Only a long shot.

RAM System.... Hitachi, Panasonic, LG, Toshiba, JVC, Samsung. Hitachi DVD camcorders use RAM.
+ System......Philips, (Unreliable) & Chinese cheapies with Philips (unreliable) parts.

Hi, I have the Panasonic e50. I also have the Pioneer ao5. Both great kit. I have just received the Panasonic DVD RAM writer from big pockets. It don`t come with any software but it plays RAM perfectly & you can use the cartridge type RAM. I am now downloading some software but would welcome any hints of which is best.

Sorry, Beastylad, you are wrong. I definately have true seperation from the back speakers with SVCD. Exactly the same as a DVD in Dolby 5.1.

I use optical & it goes into my Dolby 5.1 TV OK. I get full 5.1 sound out even on SVCDs, if they have the dolby encoding.
