If you had done a search on this forum you would not have needed to ask this is my original post 17th of May.

Pleased to confirm that the forums listed hack for the 750 works tip when using it look at the players own display screen to see the numbers input.

A review I have seen states the player handles Mp3`s up to 256 kb I have been playing them at 320kb with no problems and excellent sound quality.The spec states handles long file names but I have not yet found how it displays song titles(if it does?) Let me know if you find out.

What a excellent player.

To add to my original post it plays all bit rate MP3`s at vbr as well but as a poor info screen just album No & Track No as I bought it for its MP3 capability I am disapointed but the sound is excellent.

It can play dvd`s wery well

I can not tell from the model URC-7550 if it is the one you want I used a Oneforall from Argos For 4 devices Cat.No. 534/0521(digital) must have a magic button it worked fine for me.

I have owned a M105 I used Princo cdr`s known for working with fussy cd & dvd players they have a different coating to standard cdr`s.Even then I had moderate success I created photo albums to play on my DVD and they where not perfect.
The M105 plays DVD`s very well but nothing else!
If you must play cdr`s then I am afraid you must do what I did buy another DVD player that does cdr`s.

Sorry to confuse the issue
Rytek have recently started marketing disc called Data Safe not the right coating !

Princo also have manufactured Data Safe they have the coating you require they are recommended for fussy C.D. players and DVD players they are the only manufacturer to use this coating sorry can`t remember the name of it.

first things first there is NO macrovision disabler just like the dansai 110 (not that i know of anyway)
anyway heres the hack

NOTE: THIS CAN ONLY BE PEFORMED ON THE REMOTE CONTROL

1.power on with the tray empty and closed
2.press eject (on remote)
3.press setup (on remote)
4.press stop (on remote)
5.press skip backward (on remote)
6.press skip forward (on remote)

and up pops the menu scroll down to REGION I.D. & change to bypass.
press set up on the remote close tray & turn off power
turn on again insert region 1 dvd and there u go

IF IT SCREWS UP YA DVD PLAY DONT BLAME ME
it worked for me ok & besides tescos are great when it comes to taking faulty goods back

I am pretty certain that RCE disc I think The Matrix as played on my 105 with no problems a good player shame about the inability to play CDR`s.

Sorry phil maccrackin for the hijack of this thread.

Tom W I have no experiece of vcd`s other than to make picture shows to show still photos on
a 32" tv.
Steps to take perhaps

Proove the player can play cdr`s perhaps if you post a thread other Sharp owners maybe able to help.

I think the Princo`s are the 2 Datasafe Silver Premuim CDRs

Phone up and check a guy at a computer fair told me that Ritek had taken over Princo and maybe had ceased production of them (keep fingers crossed)

I can understand your frustration with the Sharp a good machine like the Samsung hampered by its inability to play cdr`s but what it does in does very well.

If you can get hold of original Pinco cdr`s they may play on it I have a samsung M105 that is not cdr compatable except for princo`s they are well known to work with fussy cd&dvd players they use a different coating to other manufacturers.
I have a link on my home pc to online trader who will send send a trial pack for you to try.

I have tried the first hacks with the players remote they do not work I suspected they where hoaxes before I tried them some people are not funny .Looks like I will have to try the 750 hack with a one for all remote.

Found !!! Hack for Schneinder hcs 500

This hack is part of another thread for the Hitachi HTD - 150 apparently the same as the Scheinder read the replies for the info. I thought it would be handy to hi-light it for Schneider owners.

I don`t think you have to worry about shielding there is no specific instructions in the manual about position of the speakers my centre is placed on top of a cable digital box with no problems.The fact there ia an optical output( most optic leads are at the most 18 inches) suggest that the sub can be sited next to the tv many people have the DVD player under the telly hence the sub close to the TV.Mine is within 18 inches of the telly(2 weeks) no problems.The manual is only a few pages if you have sorted the controls you probably don`t need it.

I think you may need to look at the Rowa 280 put it in the search of these forums this machine came in two different builds sold at Asda one could be hacked and the other required chipping.Try and determine if yours is one of these with a new model number? one as a service port on the back the other does not.
