Page 2 of Dexter Returns

i'm about half way, i think i'm watching it for closure again now :(

I started off really liking it, but now, I dunno, you're just waiting for something to happen, then the obvious does happen.

We watched the old ones, and 1-3 are still really good, you obviously know he's going to get away with murder, but I often can't remember how, and it twists and turns and the characters are interesting. (I've only got that far, the missus is on 8 again now, and says it's not surprising we can't remember anything about them, a part from how bad it gets!)

we only revisited them as things get mentioned that we couldn't remember, turns out they're in later ones anyway :(

This one, some of the new people they introduce, have potential, but they don't capitalize on it :( Guess they're more interested in giving the younger characters the spotlight for the young audience?

We finished it earlier in the week.
Thought it was 'OK'.

SPOILER:
As it got nearer to the end it got a bit sillier and sillier..
why was Dexter's badly bleeding  shot leg suddenly OK in the last two episodes?
Amazing coincidence for Batista to bump into Dexter's girlfriend - and then completely mention Dexter.  Oh he had a son..  What was his name?  Oh, Harrison.  Dear me...
Batista could have been in it more - at least a Dexter - Batista confrontation for closure.
Slightly better final than the original - but what's that saying?

so I finally got round to finishing it, wish I hadn't,  I actually ended up watching all the originals, I couldn't remember anything about Johnny Lee Millar, Lumin or Hannah, or the psychiatrist lady. Like last time even though I felt like I wanted to scream at the TV at times, I had to watch it :(

The Trinity series was still so good, and then this series started good, but then as mentioned above, their was lots of head scratching moment that plagued the last few series, where it didn't make sense, or was just daft :(

The ending seemed kind of rushed, crammed too much in, but i guess if the had fleshed it out, it would have had more bollocks in it than good stuff :(

So season 2 was rumoured, but has now been cancelled, but to keep flogging that dead horse a prequel is now an idea they're toying with :(

I'm pretty sure we saw all we needed to know in that respect in flashbacks?
