The Trip to Italy (Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan)
really enjoyed The Trip, where Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan more or less played themselves going round restaurants and pubs "reviewing" food etc
this time they've gone to Italy :)
starts tonight, 22:00 BBC2

The 'Andies 'Alive' discussion was just hillarious, deciding who's flesh to eat, while they were munching away at lunch.
Only slight downside, is that is is getting very obvious in this series (and likely the last) that actors are playing the parts of the surrounding diners, as the two taking loud like that would normally cause a stir in a restaurant.
Again the outside scene overlooking the balcony had four actors again seated, being talked over.
You can tell the talking is scripted, (or just the topic is scripted) but played very well by both, very natural, then suddenly becoming very tangential, zooming out to weirdness and wonderful disscusions. Brilliant
PS......If you like the banter between them, and wish to see both of them in a film, then you must see 'Cruise of the Gods' which is a BBC DVD.

Second episode........Just brilliant conversation, hillarious impersonations, and lovely sailing views of the Italian coastline.

Third episode rather dissapointing. Not so many laughs.

Fourth episode a bit better but still not up to the standard of the first two.
Getting jealous of the guys, as all these fancy women seem to love Rob and Steve and jump into bed on first sight.
How do I not get these girls throwing themselves at me when on a sewage works renovation job in Ramsgate?
Oh, I forgot for a moment, its scripted by them
They must think they are Hugh Grant

Tonights show was a lot funner and better impressions of celebs that I know, for a change.
Next week is the lastt in this short series.
RE: The Trip to Italy (Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan)
Well that was the last of the series, and although the scenery was far superior, ie, the coast of Italy, the series was not as funny overall as the first.
Conclusion: first series definitely worth getting on DVD, second series not, unless it comes free with the first series as a boxed set.
