Seems an appropriate moment to start the new thread.

Saka just gets better and better

Hope he remembers the feeling of scoring a hatrick next time he's at Old Trafford :)

I've seen the goal but not the other two.

Not seen either fixture

The prospect of more games where the outcome was a matter of how many not if did not convince me to watch.

This may be a little churlish but how many of Kane's record haul is down to the fact we seem to play endless games like this now?
I seem to remember from my younger days every England match carried the risk of losing.

We've signed Havertz for 62 million!
I've been hearing positive stuff about him on various podcasts but I need convincing.
I'm guessing this means it's only likely to be Rice as a statement signing with Caicedo more likely to go to Chelsea at the moment.

Other rumours.
We're interested in Jurrien Timber (Who? yeh me too)
Ajax defender and we've offered 30 mill, rejected, Ajax want 50

Noises that Tierney may stay but that might be to get Newcastle to disturb the wallet moths a bit more.

Partey could well go for the right price with Saudi now being a possible destination. They seem to be the China of the present day.

Still seems 50/50 whether we keep Eddie or bring Balogun back.

If you can manage watching this for seven minutes, waiting for the guy to draw breath, it's quite good on the why Arteta wants Havertz

The Ornacle has spoken.

Quote:
Arsenal have made an improved bid worth up to £105million for West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice.

The offer, which Arsenal hope will fend off rivals Manchester City, comprises an initial fee of £100m and an extra £5m in add-ons.

It will be a record fee for a British player if the move materialises.

Arsenal had a club-record proposal worth up to £90million — £75m plus £15m in add-ons — turned down by West Ham earlier this month.

Manchester City subsequently lodged a formal offer of an initial £80million with an extra £10m in add-ons, but that was also rejected.

Arsenal have now upped their bid to try and secure manager Mikel Arteta’s top summer target.

Hope they can get this sorted before City spoil the show.

Bid has not been accepted but hasn't been rejected either.
West Ham want more up front rather than staged payments which is common on big deals.
The argument will be between Rice and West Ham now as no doubt City will probably offer the same but 'Cash, no questions asked'
If Rice wants Arsenal it will happen if City can persuade him it wont.

City out of the race so just Is and Ts to be dotted and crossed.

Also confirmed Havertz is now a Gooner and Timber shouldn't fall far behind (couldn't resist).

We've got a replacement for Rafaelle as well.

Our tight bar stewards would expect 3 players for that and 4 to go.  And be net positive after it all.
Incredible amounts of money being spent again.

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..
