Yes  , however I never kissed the "BP" badge on my overalls ) what he does. Answer was "I help rich people get richer". Derek asked "Why" and each time the similar reply would be answered  "Why". There appears to be no limit to the greed in players . The greed is actually and sadly rewarded by clubs as there will always be another club who will spend hundreds of millions in the pursuit of glory.

Snaps   Good job I am not a chairman as , if I owned the club lock stock and barrel, he would languish in the reserves . The days of Jimmy Hill and the legislation at that time allied to the European Court ruling many years ago have created an unstable and quite honestly unsustainable upwards spiral of debt/costs that will cripple the game.
Anywhoo I look forward to Falkirk lifting the cup at Hampden next week

I don't think the Sterling situation is as simple as that - and his agent has screwed up massively saying he won't sign.  Liverpool hold all the cards here really.  And he's young, even if we let his contract run right down we're still entitled to a development fee.  We can literally do what I posted earlier and do nothing.  His agent has said he won't sign so we don't need to give him any rise and just keep him on 35k a week.  That will save millions over the two years.  He has to show willing and play well if he wants to attract other clubs and keep on playing for England too.  Selling, even for £40m, doesn't actually make a whole lot of financial sense.  £10m goes straight away to QPR and we then need to replace him with someone who doesn't know the club - and pay them a whole lot more than we we Sterling.
I see us playing hardball and keeping him and there's nothing he can do about it - contracts work both ways Raheem .  But we will also put a silly price on him (£50m+) - and if someone wants to pay that then good luck to them.

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

Unless it's Arsenal - then it'd be £50,000,001 wouldn't it?

No that was a £ to trigger the 'escape clause'
This would be an 'At least 50 mill'

Never mind he's not worth anywhere near that anyway. He may want to move to AFC but we don't really need him and you're not going to take a bargain price.

Yup, no doubt about that.  Starting 11 lately appears to be political - today's was shocking.
To be honest, I'll be surprised if Rodgers survives after that result....

According to reports it's been 52 years since Liverpool have conceded 6 goals in a league match.
Shocking result !!!.

The performance was far worse.  Such a sad way for it to end for Gerrard.
