The Official Spurs 2006-2007 Season Thread

A place for all us disappointed Spurs fans to bitch and moan. All we need to do now is to lose on Thursday, and that will really cap of a fantastic start to the season.

Still can`t believe Jenas missed on Saturday.

I just can`t see how we`re going to change this season (well, until Berby/Lennon come back anyway), there`s just no bite in the team at the moment.

Was kind of half watching the game on saturday while putting up a chest of drawers, Tanio seemed to be doing ok when BMJ took him off, would have preferred to see murphy disappear (he might have done something but I missed it due to the screwing/glueing), and was pleasantly surprised to see old man davids actually carve out a decent chance, only for to JJ put it wide from 2 yards :o

Hopefully we`ll turn the form around for Thursday. COYS.

Jenas`s miss was abysmal. I do think Davids was partly to blame for our loss though. Notice how stable we were before he came on?

I think it was Tainio (or maybe Murphy?) that was keeping Gerrard out of the game to a certain extent. Only as soon as this position was changed for Davids, Gerrard appeared to get a free run. Then we lost.

If only Jenas had scored, I think we might have been able to hold on for a win. It`s a funny old game, eh?

Anyone with a prediction for the Sunday game against us?

With us losing to Bolton on Monday (despite us having 6x as many shots on target and 60%+ possession) I think Harry might bring in a few of the new boys. Hopefully Kranjcar will get a game.

I`ll stick me neck out and go for a 1-1 draw. 8)

Unfortunately not, but I did hear that due to UEFA laws, we aren`t allowed to drink beer at the game, nor is the Jumbotron going to be on :o

Apparently no alcohol was sold at the Emirates stadium last night either (heard it on the radio)

As for the shout of a draw between Spurs and Pompey - I think you may well be right. Dunno whether I fancy 0 - 0 or 1 - 1 though

I think a draw sounds about right. Teams don`t generally do well off the back of Euro games, plus if our recent form is anything to go by we`d do well to get anything. Similarly, expect us to at least have a go at trying to win this game.

Yup. I`m going.. I have a season ticket so so far this season I have seen some pretty dismal performances.. against everton there was a mass exodus at about fifteen mins to go..

Going on sunday as well. I tell you, at the moment it is pretty bloody difficult to get excited about going!
