Do The Portugeuse Team Have NO Respect For Themselves!!!
I must say today`s diving was even worse than the England game, if FIFA don`t take any action they will lose all if any remaining respect they have in the football world!
Leading by example their coach berating the ref after the game >:(
great example of portuguese sportsmanship being broadcasted worldwide :(

FFS Mourinho/Wenger/Ferguson/Allardyce and a f***in barra load of others do the same week in and week out.
FFS there are cheats EVERYPHUKINWHERE and you do not need to look very far to see them.
I know, I see them week in and week out in the SPL and most of them are not Johnny Foreigner.

Yeah and they are all pricks whenever they do it, it`s why the rules of the game are so frequently flaunted, nobody has any respect for referees and are all bring shame on their respective teams! (although they are not doing it on such a globally visible scale)
I`m a massive football fan but I grew up in a Rugby area (Gloucestershire), in rugby you get 6ft8" monsters with no teeth calling the ref `sir` and not even attempting to argue with a decision against them! I would love to see that level of respect bought into footie but i guess old habits die hard :(
My old man always says that football is a gentleman`s sport played my thugs and rugby is a thugs sport played by gentlemen...
...but what does he know, he supports Spurs :p

RE: Do The Portugeuse Team Have NO Respect For Themselves!!!
I completely agree. I`m predominantly a rugby fan so whenever i watch football i`m always annoyed at the amount of gamesmanship.
In rugby, if a player is down you know it`s serious. In football, you can`t take anything for granted.
And there is nowhere near as much arguing with the referee. It really is idiotic how many yellow cards players picked up for pointlessly arguing with the ref.
Another thing that really bugs me is that whenever the ball goes out, invariably players from both teams raise their arms to claim the throw-in. I know it`s a little thing, but when you watch a replay and see the ball coming off one of them, it is really irritating to see them then raise their arm.
Fair enough if it is unclear, but otherwise, i look on it as a form of cheating.
RE: Do The Portugeuse Team Have NO Respect For Themselves!!!
The only answer is to retro-actively book players for cheating based on video evidence after the game.
Diving to get a free kick, yellow card. Diving to get a penalty, red card.

I agree with RJS here actually. I see no reason why important matches couldn`t be examined retrospectively as a matter of course and when there is clear evidence for cheating, punish the offenders.
This wouldn`t slow up the game and would only help ensure fair play in future matches. Sure, it may take the players a while to get used to the whole Big Brother style of things, but when they realise that it`s no longer just the referee and linesman they have to fool, but a f***load of cameras as well, they`ll stop diving fairly sharpish.
