JupiterDVD - Has Anyone Used These Before?

Hodgey (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 7th November 2007, 12:37

Has anyone used this website before:

www.jupiterdvd.co.uk

I`m trying to get hold of Disneys Snow White & Sleeping Beauty for my little girl. This is the only place I`ve found which has the UK Region. I usually use Play, CD Wow, BangCD, Amazon but none of these have them.

I know Snow White was deleted from Disneys catalogue, not sure about Sleeping Beauty so it cannot be ordered from the suppliers.

Hope you guys can help

Well I placed an order with jupiterdvd on the 6th of November and was told via email that I would only wait about 5 working days.My thoughts were "no problem" the price was really good so the wait would be worth it.After 5 days still no dvd box set so I tracked the order only to find the order has been duplicated.I have sent an E.mail asking not to be charged twice and when can I expect delivery but as yet have heard nothing. So my intial thoughts of they might be new and having a few teething problems, give them a chance is now wearing thin.Should you use them?If I don`t get my box set by the end of the month I would say stick with who you know.

Best best is to try Amazon new and used section, they`re a bit like e-bay. you just go with the ones with the best feedback, but unlike ebay, if you have problems with a seller, you just e-mail Amazon and they`ll give you a full refund straight away.

floyd, do you still use Caiman much? Made an order recently and I have to say, their customer service was a bunch of arse.

I use Caiman USA through Amazon quite a bit. I`d never use them if I needed something for a birthday present in 1 weeks time, but buying for myself I`ve always found excellent prices make up for slow delivery.

Never had a problem with them, but then I`ve never had to contact them usually get an email from them at time of order, and i think one on dispatch.

Thanks for all the comments.

My initial gut feeling was caution. I hope for the few people who have ordered DVDs that they are delivered.
