CD WOW complete con, please read this

A while back I got a free voucher from CD WOW entitling me to 0.50p off anything but you had to click on the link.
When I searched for anything on their website it was 0.50p cheaper without clicking on the link, so basically they did not actually give you any discount but just added 0.50p onto the prices through the link, what a con, if you got a voucher then check it out yourself!!
Is this legal ? ? ??

50p cheaper than what then? If you`re saying it was 50p cheaper WITHOUT clicking the link, what are you comparing it to if you hadn`t clicked the link? Did you not get a code to enter at checkout?

Ste

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..

Are you sure the `voucher` link has not expired or that your cookies are not remembering the `discount`? I have had trouble with cookies before with CD-Wow. Anyway - I don`t think it`s worth getting too excited for 50p - it`s not healthy.

I don`t think I would ever slag off cdwow - gotta be the best on-line retailer I`ve ever used and always a 1st class service.

Hi there,
What I am saying is that if I search for a dvd on CD WOW ,say for example "wrong turn R2 dvd" it costs £5.49 inc postage.
If I then go through the link provided by CD WOW to get my 0.50p discount, and search for the same dvd it cost £5.99. I thought this was a bit weird so tried it several times on loads of different DVD`s and the are always 0.50p more expensive through the discount link, basically they have put on to knock off. Although 0.50p is not really that important in the scheme of things it is annoying to me that they do this and I am fairly sure it is not legal to put on to knock of so obviously

Did you bookmark a link for Cd-Wow from another website? (eg. money saving expert) If you did its a discount link whereas Cd-Wow have mailed you a normal link to their site. It does sound like you`ve got a discount link because their DVD prices usually end in .99p (< if you get what I mean :/ ). If I were you I wouldn`t use their link, use your 50p off link and then enter your discount code at the checkout :B

I think you`ve cocked it up somewhere, matey.

I just opened a fresh browser to search Wrong Turn R2, and it came up £5.99
I closed it, then opened another browser through a 50p voucher link, and it was £5.49

Seems to work fine.

You`ve probably mixed up the windows/browsers. ;)

Trips to the video store for a quiet night in can be fun. But remember;

* Don`t be afraid to ask for assistance

* DO NOT peer through Mr T`s WINDOW on the WAY home, and LAUGH at him watching BRING IT ON alone with his trousers UNDONE!
