Just finished a trial with them.
5 at a time :-)
Service was OK but only carried on for 1 month. Selection wasn`t too great in my opinion. No music DVD`s either.

I just signed up for a 1-month trial because of this thread, but yeah, it`s a bit lacking on back catalogue titles. We`ll see what the service and turn around time during the trial is like, though I don`t think I`d stay very long because I want older titles as well as new.

I`ve got two on the go at the moment Lovefilm are brilliant for turning discs around and have a great back catalogue. I`m also using Blockbuster who are slow turning discs around but pretty good for new titles. My list has had to grow to 80 odd to keep things moving though. Maybe I should change Blockbuster for Global.

Screenselect pretty good for back catalogue and foreign language. With Choices at moment, not bad.

Hi,

I signed up at the beginning of Sep and created a Wish List as normal. But they have only sent me one DVD to date, although the despatch notification said 3 had been sent. Now I am not pointing the finger, but they either haven`t been sent or Royal Mail have rented them and do not intend to return them. Either way after emailing E Global for support and not getting any response, I decided to call and speak to them direct. I explained the situation to a Vikki, who listened, but could only say sorry and that she`d pass my details on. They appear to be having support/staff troubles at E-Global, so I would give them a miss if I was you. I have asked them to Canx my membership and I am going somewhere else. I did try CDWOWRENTAL before this and they were pretty quick, with Good support and the discs were in good condition too. I think it a good idea for someone - maybe me to try them all and write a review - based on a number of factors, inc, Speed Of Delivery, Customer Support, DVD Surface Quality etc - what do you think? Has it already been done?

Complete opposite for me as far as Global eRental is concerned. I`ve had 15 discs since the end of September, though I`ll cancel as the trial nears the end because I like older films and they just don`t have the ones I want.

I recieved 3 titles from these guys and two of them were open. Was surprised to see the dvds inside the envelopes, the cardbaord they use is very poor. Doubt I will be sticking with them after the trial unless they manage to give me 24 titles during my trial, they will have a good chance of my membership for another month.

So far I`ve used:

CDWOW Rentals: Terrible! Had 9 discs in just under 2 weeks. 2 were so badly scratched they wouldn`t play. And 2 others were from a 3 disc TV series and they sent me discs 2 & 3 first! E-mailed to complain, took them 3 days and offered me another 3 day trial!

Screenselect: Been with them for about 3 weeks. Had about 12 films from them. First batch had 2 unplayable ones! E-mailed to complain and they got back to me within hours. Very good back catalogue although I prefer CDWOWS search engine.

These are just my personal opinons!!

Just received this from Global:

Dear Subscriber, Due to an unofficial Royal Mail strike with in the Glasgow area, you may experience a slowness in service with regard to the delivery and return of eRental DVDs.

And I`ve only just joined up with them. Royal Mail screw up another up and coming business. >:(
