Someone suggested (sorry forgotten who :() that we had a photography forum, do people think it is a good idea? Would enough be interested in it to warrant adding it?

How would you intend to implement a photography forum? Would we upload images to the forum or link to external servers?

Or as I thought it was more in the vein of, would it be a place to discuss photography, equipment, tips and tricks with the ability to link externally to say Flikr for those wishing to show their pictures...?

If it was to actually upload pictures then can`t see the point really, there`s plenty out there at the minute with Flikr, Photobucket etc.
If it was that then maybe better and easier to have a gallery we can upload to rather than a forum....?

it was me Rob.

reckon there are a few on here who like photography and would like to
share some hints and tips etc.

i`ve recently bought a decent camera (fuji HS20EXR) and would like to
try and get the best out of it. I`m sure there are a few people on here
who can give pointers on the best settings for specific scenes etc.

I like the sound of a forum for photographic gurus and enthusiastic shutterbugs to swap ideas and techniques. The initial idea sounded more like it could degenerate into a gallery of photos of cats doing amusing things.

Not that there wouldn`t be room for both.

I just bought an HS10, couldn`t afford the newer HS20. Would be interested in a forum though, quite into my photography.

Took this on Thursday evening:
