Tablets for kids?

RJS (undefined) posted this on Friday, 14th November 2014, 12:53

My mum has just got a Hudl for my niece, but she wants a smaller and more childish one for her younger sister. Anyone found a cheap tablet that is aimed at 2-3 year olds?

I'm still none the wiser, but somehow more entertained than I was before asking...

Was only reading a short review of the Hudl 2 last night and very complimentary (Computeractive).
Apart from battery life.

We got Max a leappad 2 last xmas, and he's very happy with it. A word of warning, you only get one free game, and the proprietary games start at a tenner and work upwards. It's weighty and robust (especially with the extra protective rubber case - sold separately).

Off the shelf tablets have greater variety of apps, but with a 2-3 year od in mind, it depends if you want sweeties jammed into the microsd slot
