Page 1 of Sky or Thunderbird
PCs & Mobiles Forum
Just wondering if any other Sky users have noticed an increase in spam in their inbox after the switch from Google to Yahoo.
I switched from Outlook to Thunderbird about the same time so I`m wondering if it could be down to that. It`s not coming through in huge amounts but Sky`s gmail used to be pretty good at filtering it out.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary
Thunderbird`s spam filters work very well once you`ve set up some parameters. Go into the settings and enter some words you want automatically marked as spam, then make sure you always mark junk as junk before you delete it from your inbox. Won`t take long to get it under control.
I`m certainly getting more since the switch...

Thunderbird has a learning algorithm when it comes to spam, so the more you flag as spam the better it gets at learning what spam is.
Just give it some time to learn and it should be quite good, its' certainly far more accurate than using keywords or whatever stupid thing Outlook uses.
