Hi guys,

Whats included in works 8.5? Do you get Word and publisher?
Or is that only available with Microsoft office?

I`ve got works 8...

No publisher. You get a word processor but it ain`t word.

This may be different in 8.5 but I doubt it.

You might want to consider open office as a free alternative. As good as MS Office as far as I`m concerned.

I would recommend OpenOffice as a better alternative to works.

Open offiec is free, and for a regular home office does everything you may need from Word, or Excel.

the BIG advantage it has over works, is that it can read and write to microsoft formats properly which is good. I work in IT, and it`s not uncommon for some-one to come into the office saying their spreadhseet they`ve worked on all weekend won`t work. So you haev alook, and it;s cost they used their pc at home, using works, and it saved it in that format not Excel :(

I just got works 8.5 on new dell, included are: works calender, works database, works portfolio, works spreadsheet, works task launcher, word processor (not Word), works address book.

nowhere near as good as the free office suite.
