Why is Isla Fisher on my PC?

Pete-MK (Elite Donator) posted this on Tuesday, 20th December 2005, 21:16

She`s making a hell of a mess of my keyboard...

But seriously, I clear my history of visited websites and temp folder on a regular basis. Then when I start to type google, this link comes up http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=isla+fisher. It`s on my PC somewhere, as it comes up when I`m offline too. I`ve searched for any files containing the words isla and fisher but nowt comes up.

Although she`s undoubtedly a hot chick, I`ve never searched for anything to with the petite antipodean, so I`m just curious as to why she`s there, but alyson hannigan isn`t.

Yeah the stuff you (or ginger-loving pixies) type into the address bar is remembered. Evict Isla by right-clicking on your Start button > Properties > Customise > Advanced > Clear List

Edit: oh shame you delete your history lots or you could`ve been a sleuth and searched in that and found out when the search was done.

Press the Auto Complete button to get a list of options :D

But it never was. This PC`s only about 2 months old and I honestly haven`t searched for the Ginger poppet. Anyway, why does it only remember this particular URL and none of the others?

Oh, and Gurly, that didn`t work. That only seems to clear the `recently opened documents` list

I to have a couple of URL`s that appear if I start typing a web site that starts with the same letter.
I can`t get rid of them no matter how many times I clear the histoy, cookies, tempory internet files and forms.

:( Oh it looks like the functionality has changed in XP - that`s definitely how I used to delete URL history in IE, but I haven`t used IE in all the time I`ve had XP Sorry about that. :D

Tools - internet options - content - auto complete.
Also, tools - internet options - general - clear history and delete cookies/files etc.
