I haven`t got any UMD movies from other regions (or this region) to try. I just assumed that it worked.

You could try and rip the movie yourself by pressing `home` or `select` (depending on what version of custom firmware you have) on the xmb screen and change the usb device to UMD disc and the exit. Put in your movie and connect the USB setting. Your computer should now be seeing the UMD disc instead of the memory stick. Drag the ISO to your computer to back it up and rename it if you want. Change the USB device back to memory stick and place the ISO movie into the ISO / VIDEO folder. You then should be able to mount the video from the same menu where you changed the USB device.

I don`t know if it works as I said above I don`t have any UMD movies.

RE: SONY PSP2

If you have custom firmware 3.52 m33 or above boot into recovery mode. You do this by holding the right back trigger when powering on. Go to configuration and enable the free UMD region setting. There is also a fake region setting which you can change to a region of your choice. While you are in the settings you could change the UMD mode setting to the Sony NP9660 no UMD driver so that you don`t have to have a UMD in to play your backups.

RE: Wireless Internet stops loading web pages after random amount time ( XFG )

Have you tried upgrading the firmware of the router to the latest?

I had this problem on the DG834GT. uTorrent would appear to be working fine but web browsing stopped. Upgrading the firmware to the latest version solvedd the problem for me.

RE: BEKO 32WLK530HID Silver 32 inch LCD TV only £100 delivered

I only got an email from PayPal and not from the company.

If I logon to the companys website I can see that the order was Processed.

RE: Which is the best internet provider out there?

I`m with UKonline after having to leave BT because I keept going over the usage allowance. The price is £20 a month (depending on what exchange you are on) for up to 8mb download and 768kb upload. My computer is on 24/7 downloading and have never had any complaints from them!

RE: Gulp....In Disk Management I`ve `Marked Partition as Active` on 2 slave drives..now NTLDR is mis

I had an external USB drive that I marked as active (just to see what it done.) The only thing that I could see that it done was reserve that drive letter. Before I marked it as active if I switched the drive on it would become E (the next available letter) or pluged in a memory stick with the USB drive off that would become E. After I marked it as active I pluged in my memory stick with the USB drive off and it became F where it would normally become E.

I don`t think you can reset it. (I tried.)

RE: BT Voyager 100 to BT Home Hub

You don`t need a password as I had to set one up for my brother recently and forward a port for him. Just plugged in the router and everything worked. Didn`t bother installing the CD as it`s not needed.

To change settings you need to do the following:-

Open up your web browser and type in "bthomehub.home" (without the ""). That will take you to the router home page where you can see what your up and down speed are synced at. To forward a port I think it is on the advanced link on the left hand side of the router home page. The user name and password are both admin by default. If the service you want is not on there you have to create a new one and then add it to your user name. Can`t remeber exactly how at the moment because I`m not at my brothers but If I see him today I will have a look.

RE: Why is Isla Fisher on my PC?

I to have a couple of URL`s that appear if I start typing a web site that starts with the same letter.
I can`t get rid of them no matter how many times I clear the histoy, cookies, tempory internet files and forms.

RE: Broadband

I have just checked Plus net and their service is metered. 30gb peak, 100gb off peak so I am not going with them.
I do not have cable so does anyone no of any ASDL ISP`s that offer an un-metered service.

Thanks.

RE: Broadband

I to just got a letter from BT saying that I have been using more than 40gb a month.

In September they said I used 114gb and in October they said I used 131gb.
The charges didn`t start until the 15th October so they are letting me off of 50gb of October but are still going to charge me £80.76 for the excess usage during October!

I rang them today and got a migration key and are going to move to Plus net.

RE: Is there any way to password protect an excel document from any body trying to open it?

If you click on Tools / Protection then Protect Sheet you will be able to enter a password that you will have to enter if you want to edit the sheet.

As Gareth Williams said above, click on Tools / Options then click on the Security tab and there will be a box for you to enter the password. Type in a password and then click OK and you will be asked to enter the password again. Every time you go to open the document you will have to enter the password to open it.

This password is harder to crack than the protect sheet passwords which can be stripped in seconds. Choose a password which is at least 8 digits in length and contains lower and upper case letters and numbers and symbols if you want. This will slow down the password cracking as they won`t be able to use a dictionary attack.

If someone wants to they can still crack it with a program that cracks the encryption key but that could take anything up to a month.

RE: How do I find out My Ip Address

Or any easier way is to open up windows command prompt. Start/Programs/Accessories/command prompt
and type in ipconfig.

RE: The Windows XP SP2 Thread

Magic_ians, with internet explorer open click on the view tab and tick or un-tick status bar depending wether you want it shown or not.

RE: Nokia 6230 help!!!!

I also have a Nokia 6230 with bluetooth dongle and have no problems putting MP3`s straight onto the memory card. When you have an MP3 on your phone why dont you select it and press options and then move it to the MMC which is shown in the gallery.

If you download the Nokia PC suite for the 6230 and set it up so that is connected to your phone with bluetooth and use the audio manager you can select the memory card as the place they will be uploaded to.

RE: How do I show file extensions?

Open up the My Documents folder (or any folder) and click on tools / folder options and select the view tab. Un-check the box that says hide extensions for known file types.

RE: Messenger Service constantly spamming me

RE: Missing internet icon

Right click the internet explorer icon and select properties. Select the Connections tab and the highlight your connection and select settings. Click on properties and at the bottom should be a check box called show icon in notification area when connected. Check this.

If the above doesn`t work right click the taskbar and click properties. Uncheck the box at the bottom that says hide inactive icons.

RE: Help Please: Can`t Open .NFO Files Anymore!

On windows XP, .NFO files are system information files. If you just double click it system information will attempt to open it but cant. You have to right click the file and choose OPEN WITH. If WORD or NOTEPAD or any text editer are not on the list click choose program and then select one of the above.

RE: i know its not a dvd but.....

I know just under £28 was export duty!
Then there is import duty!
Then the postage that they didn`t pay for!
Then Consignia`s (Royal Mail) handling charge!

RE: i know its not a dvd but.....

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SITE.

You only have a 50% chance of your fags getting through customs.

Ordered 200 a few weeks back and arrived no problem. Ordered another 200 and got a £41.70 customs charge.

Rang customs to see what they were up to and was told that they were shipped from Switzerland which IS NOT and EU country so you have to pay export duty and then pay import duty here. They also said that the postage on the fags was not paid so it was all charged to me.

I`ve refused them so they will be shipped back to Switzerland.

If they were shipped from an EU country and customs stopped them they said they would just ask for proof that duty was paid in the export country and then let you have them.

Be warned. You have only got a slight chance of them getting through customs. (They are marked up as being cigarettes as well!).

Use a different place where they are shipped from an EU country.

RE: kodak fiasco

Cheers for that Clayts. I will send both letters first thing Monday Morning.

RE: kodak fiasco
