Page 1 of please can anyone help nero express burning only plays on pc not stereo???????????

hi there , im a beginner here so please excuse my ignorance im trying to burn some music on my hard drive to cdr using nero express 6 i add file and it burns but only plays on pc not my stereo what am i doing wrong? would be grateful for any help thank you JD ;)

How are you creating the disc?
Yoiu can`t just create a data CD and add mp3`s. You need to make a music CD and add the files. Assuming they`re mp3, Nero should encode them on the fly to the CD. If this is what you`re doing it could be that your stereo system doesn`t like CD-R`s..

when you open up nero, a box will come up saying new compilation at the top, it will be set on cd-rom[iso] as default ... change to the next icon down in the box ..audio-cd , now burn your disc it should work fine now ....

Thanks guys for the advice still having same prob will play fine on computer but not stereo. did try above in nero burning rom 6 also tried nero express and cd burner xp pro all do the same .i am new to all this so assuming im doing something wrong the disk is a intenso cd-rw. i have heard a lot of people have the same problem that disk only plays on comp not stereo what else could it be its driving me mad. :(

I found when buring some MP3 tracks to an audio CD (getting Nero to convert them to audio tracks on the fly) that my CD player wouldn`t play them - this with a normal CDR. Other CD players in the house would.

In the end I converted the MP3s to WAV files first, then ripped them - worked a treat.

Have you tried using Windows Media player to do it?

I was having problems, nero, WinOnCD, all sia dthey had succesfully burned CD for play in stereo. CDs wouldn`t work on any CD player I tried on, used Media player, and worked 1st time. Free plugin "only" burns 20x though.

Al
