Yesterdays Scans Today Only had a Tower Athlon 2100, 512Mb, CD Writer, USB, LAN, & sound, for about £240, advised a work colleague to get that with a HDD for £40 & 128Mb Graphics for about £40, with £15 extra on keyboard & optical MS mouse gave a nice little bundle for about £330 inc carriage.
There was also a nice lil USB NIC as a free gift for being a o/l order over £145
They will be reusing the old Win 98 licence, but XP home was about £55 Inc VAT when bought with hardware.

RE: New base unit wanted
For that price (if you are able enough) you can build your own and have a pentium 4 3.0ghz (trust me this Pentium is a lot faster than even the 3200xp, I have proof ) with a 120 gig hard drive and you get to choose your case (within reason). You may have to shop around and buy from different sources but I have just done it for....£430 and if you already have a pc, some things you will not have to buy if you are willing to donate from the old to the new.

Can highly recomend the dabsvalue case, the £29 one, it is normal beige colour, tower with aluminium effect panels on the sides, 2 front usb2 ports, 3 x 5 1/4" bays, 1 floppy bay, 2 internal 3 1/2" bays, 420w psu and extra 10cm fan.
All the best
Ger.

Must admit I`ve considered this option as the only original parts left on the old machine are the case and the soundboard so I`ve been in the guts of it on a regular basis.
The only part that sways the cost is the purchase of XP which is considerably more expensive for a straight purchase than if it was an upgrade. That difference seems to make it worth buying a built unit with XP already installed.
