RE: copy dvd to pc hard drive
dvd decryptor is the program you need.
I`d recommend DVD Shrink. It`s free, removes Macrovision and other copy protection and makes your backup region-free. You can use it to re-author discs and/or reduce the quality slightly (with excellent results) to fit the backup on to a single DVD-R/DVD+R. The files it produces can be played back using Power DVD, Win DVD etc.

dvd shrink is an excellent programme to back up your dvds. i am using this from last one month but i think you can not play those from you hdd. or you might need another programme to play those from hdd. i am just using to make back up on dvd-r and it is great
Update... just checked dvd shrink, you can actually use it to palyback as well. you can actually make the preview screen to full screen

Yes but it will take 3-4 times as long to copy the dvd to the hard disc using DVD Shrink compared to using dvd decrypter. DVD Shrink is an excellent piece of software to `backup` dvd`s, but Danno only wants to be able to view the DVD on his PC without the DVD being physically in the DVD drive - of course if Danno wants to keep a number of these on his hard disc then DVD Shrink would then come in useful to allow him to store more DVD`s on his hard disc ;)
