Page 1 of Adware/Spyware - how can I check if any running on my pc?

And can you recommend where I can get a free download to find them.
Forgot all about getting any spyware/adware when I got broadband last month.

I already have Zonealarm firewall and Avg 6 virus checker

Ive used adaware for a couple of years but have recently got spybot-search and destroy which is alot better in my opinion. From Download.com :)

I actually run both Adaware & Spybot-Search & Destroy and find that they discover different things. Can`t be too careful...

I`ve downloaded spybot eventually from Download.com and will read notes before installing. Is there anything I should be aware of when installing/using?

Also, I`ve found adware from one of the links given above but where should I download it from or doesn`t it matter i.e.
majorgeek, fileforum,pcworld,tucows
