Just catching up on this with iPlayer, anyone else see it? Amazed at how tight the BBC Orchestra is, sounds incredible!

Got to admit when I heard the Superman theme I almost cried. If a piece of music can symbolise one man I think the Superman Theme pretty much sums it up.

What did you think (if you've seen it that is 😁)

Not exactly Bernard Herrman and the NDO. One for the (very) oldies there.

I was expecting it to be the usual crowdpleaser with only the most popular, iconic themes, but surprisingly there was a decent sampling of his less well known scores too.

The Saxophone solo from 'Catch Me If You Can' was especially good!

Just watching it on iPlayer now and seeing much more of the orchestra than you ever used to in Proms of yesteryear.
