Listened to it once so far, Heavier sound than usual, but like it.
Will give it a few more plays, but this seems like a great album. :D

Thought Far Cry was a really good song. :)
Only listened to the first 3 songs but am loving it. Really couldn`t get into Vapor Trails at all - much better stuff this. I hope...
Read a great interview with Neil Peart a few weeks back all about the writing and recording of the album - really interesting. :)

Got mine this morning too...very good so far (4 tracks in !)

Wouldn`t have to be brilliant to be better than `Vapor Trails` (sonically at least...worst engineered/mastered album ever !

This is the best thing they`ve done for quite some time.
Some great tracks - and the instrumental "The Main Monkey Business" is up there with YYZ..... :o
Great album - seeing them again in October... :)

Rush is one of the classic rock bands that I`ve really yet to get into. That`s more because I don`t hear a great deal of their stuff unless I`m listening to Planet Rock. I`ve heard a couple of tracks from Snakes & Arrows, and although they didn`t stick in my head, I remember thinking that they were great.

Are some of you guys big Rush fans? Should I start with their first album as a means of trying to get into them? The only song that I can really say I know well is "The Spirit of Radio", which I really like.

EDIT: I keep looking at the Rush "Gold" compilation - I guess it is a good place to start?

As a lightweight non-Rush fan myself, I think you`d be OK starting with this:

A compilation cd isn`t a bad way to get into them I suppose..- there`s certainly a spread through the ages on that linked cd.
Make sure your next is `Moving Pictures` though..loud. :D
