Page 1 of The perfectly crafted epic track

Currently obsessed with Won`t Get Fooled Again by The Who, which has got to be one of the best epic tracks ever.

It has everything, from guitair solos, to the quiet mellow solo instrumental bit, before the big ending, and political lyrics that could have easily been written today.

8 and a half minutes of lovelyeness in audio form.

Obviously Bohemian Rhapsody is another, though still excellent it is a bit over played.

Anyone got any suggestions for others whilst I`m in the epic mood? :)

If we`re talking about epic tracks for me the one that springs to mind is The Odyssey by Symphony X. It has lots of different parts throughout the song like fantasy movie soundtrack parts, heavy keyboard parts, and my favourite part is the last 4 mins or so as it kicks ass. Although not the longest epic that I`ve heard definately one of the best, and it clocks in at 24 minutes long.
