Thin Lizzy, The boys are back on my CD player!

Used to really be into these rockers in the seventies and have most of their albums on vinyl :D . Just got a "ahem" CD :D of Peel Sessions and WOW!, as all tracks are live in the studio these guys sound great (much better than the studio albums). I went to see them approx 7 or 8 times mainly at Hammy Odeon and Wembley Areana in the good old days and I had forgotton how brilliant they were. Live and Dangerous is one of the best live albums around and the 2 disc greatest hits release should be a good intro to the band.

I still have two Phil Lynott poetry books which were released all those years ago, I assume that these could be worth something???

I saw Eric Bell once at Uxbridge Uni or Poly approx `79 and Whiskey in the Jar was classic!

I must dig out the old stuff and record onto CD`s or even just buy it all again!

"And I keep on remembering the old days"

Theres a great tribute band "Limehouse Lizzy" who play up our way.Well worth seeing.
They often ask the audience what they want them to play and some smart ar*e in the audience will come up with some obscure flexidisc or b side release.
Invariably they end up playing it.
Very clever musicians!.

I was playing "the Peel Sessions" myself tonight,(in the cab)
Great CD.
I bought quite a few Lizzy CD`s from Amazon as they were pretty cheap.
Saw them about a dozen times myself.
Watch Ebay for a dvd which has all the old tv clips and interviews
Quality is pretty crap but a must for lizzy fans,it lasts for hours.

Thin Lizzy was the first band I saw live back on the Renegade ? tour in the early 80`s , even got to talk to Phil himself when he was driven into the concert hall car park , seen quite a few bands after that but not many came close to giving a performance to match Lizzy.

I have the following albums in my collection and most get a regular spin on my CD player.
