I`ve seen them a few times too. The only time they weren`t absolutely great was the first time, when they supported U2 at the Milton Keynes Bowl. It was pouring with rain and the audience wasn`t overly sympathetic - it was also around the time of their slightly iffy "Fables Of The Reconstruction" album. They weren`t bad, just not superb.

I`ve seen them 4 times since then and can`t recommend them highly enough.

I saw them a while back. Thought they were ok but they pretty much just went through the motions. Not a band I`d say must be seen live - if you don`t you`ve not really missed much. Also, I couldn`t hear them when they did Losing My Religion because of all the out of tune folk around me howling. Pet hate that.
