Can anyone recommend a £110 or less DVD Player?
Hi,
I have finally decide to buy a separate DVD player, since I usually watch on PC... and because the family is starting to bug me big time.
The things I`m overwhelmed with different DVD player info and looking for one that you guys can recommend. I`d like one that is multi-region or can be hacked using a code or something. I would like it to play CDR/CDRW/MP3 in particular, VCDs dont reall interest me.
BTW Littlewoodsextra.com have a Bush DVD Player for £110 (doesnt play cdr-w\mp3) is it any good?
Thank you very much.

Try having a look at www.jungle.com, I just bought the Haus H-615L-S and it plays every format know to man. Unfortunately it costs £130 + £5(App) P+P but it has built in DTS and 5.1 decoders. They have a cheaper one at £100 (2 Channel) that plays all formats like the H-615L-S, ie, VCD / SVCD / MP3 / CDR / CDRW. I`m not sure about other retailers but these seem to be about the best I`ve seen. Another post mentioned www.richersounds.com ( or .co.uk) and they seem to have some good offers as well . Also the region codes for most machines are listed on the DVD Reviewer site under region hacks.HTH

Yeah, Richer Sounds have a Kenwood MR for £80 (£100 off) and JVC for £100/£110 MR. No more info I`m afraid but worth a peak. And if you`re a belt and braces sort of person, their extended warranties are good!

I have a Dansai 852 DVD from Tesco which cost £99.49
It plays just about everything! DVD, VCD, SVCD, Mp3, Mpeg at data, and it easily made region free (play a DVD from any country) and macrovision free (you will be able to record a DVD to VHS if you want!)
Trouble is it is hard to come by! Tesco have just about sold out!
Good news is there are clone DVD players which are the same inside but just have a different name and case.
The Decca DDV-2110 DVD Player is one!
Its available from http://www.powerhouse.co.uk/mum for £102.99 including delivery, Get one while you can!

I found the direct link below. It does look similar to the Dansai. Who said it was a clone?
Price is £97.98 INCLUDING DELIVERY, which is a bit cheaper.

read it on another forum but have seen review on reviewcentre.com, so can`t confirm until a Technika owner posts a confirmation
If it is one it`s worth picking up instead as it looks better I think
RE: Can anyone recommend a £110 or less DVD Player?
I was thinking about getting the Technika, but the site only stats that it plays DVDs and Mp3s. Is this accurate? The price is also £89.99. See Empire link above.

I would recommend the Dansai 852 from tesco`s. Well reviewed on the web. Have a look at my review:

It doesn`t look quite the same as the empiredirect one, but it may have similiar features.
Cheers
