Aiwa 370 and Yamaha DSP-A5
Just been to my local Comet and the Aiwa looks fine for what I want. I do want to get a better speaker kit, and Comet do a Yamaha bundle for £350 which looks very nice. Anyone have any thoughts on the bundle together? Are there any features missing from the Aiwa that will prevent it from working together. Sorry but I have no idea! I was going to buy an all in one but have been put off by the clever bods.
The guy in Comet reckons he can Aiwa and Yamaha bundle for £500 which seems OK to me? Anybody know where I can improve on that?
Cheers,
Toby.

If you search around you can get the amp for 250 and the player for 170.
which is a total of 420 = 80 pound saving.
Which means Comet = RIPOFF BRITAIN
Hitachi 505 ROCKS!!!!!!!!
RE: Aiwa 370 and Yamaha DSP-A5
Hi! Toby if you fancy a Yamaha DSP-A5 try www.letsbuyit.com its only #219.If you use it with the Aiwa use co-axial digital rather than optical as its much better quality.
Are you sure it`s the DSPA5? I`m sure they only sell the 395 model with tiny speakers included in the pack. The DSPA5 is just an amp ,no speakers included.
I listened to the speakers in a Comet store and they were pretty bad - the subwoofer completely overpowered the tiny satelites even when on the lowest volume. DSP A5 is quality kit though.
I wouldn`t bother with that Yammy speaker set myself : their speakers aren`t the best and there are better ones a lot cheaper.
Avoid the package at Comet and get them separately. The A5 has plummetted from its TSP of £349 since release (I got mine for £280 a few days after release from Digital Direct - next day delivery and no charge for that), and I`ve seen it as low as £219.
Speakers are best got from unbeatable or richer sounds.
