Many people will say this player is s***e, "JMB DVD 3000" but in all honesty its cheap and it does the job as well as can be expected. It play the RCE coded disks and can be set to region free only thing is the macro cant be disabled. And the good thing is you can buy them for around £70! !

I`d suggest the LG3000E which is currently £120(ish) depending on the retailer. They`re EASILY hacked by the accompanying remote (this site has all the details!) and are RCE compatible too. Not to mention the option of Pal50 output (essential for me) aswell as the normal Pal60/NTSC choices.

It`s a superb performer for the outlay and with RGB/DTS capability, it has all the connectivity you`ll ever reasonably need.

Richer Sounds is selling the Panasonic DVDRV31 for £150, sells for £250 everywhere else. A friend of mine has this model and it it performs very well. Plays all formats of discs, vcd,mp3 etc, not sure if its multi region though.
