Chipping Tosh 100e

I`ve had this player for two years now. I was gonna change it but have decided to `get it chipped` for multiregion and disable macrovision.

Has anyone got any avice on this and where to get it done?

I have a Toshiba 100e which is connected to a Yamaha VS10.

Now I`m tempted to upgrade to a Toshiba SD210 as MP3 and Multiregion etc would be usefull.

But would I really be able to see a difference in picture quality and will the sound be that much better?

From what I`ve seen on this forum over the last few Months...the Toshiba SD210 seems to be the `dogs` at the moment. It does MP3 and if you purchase from one of the `online` dealers, can be multiregion modified. Think `dvdmagic.com` was one of them.

Having just looked at your review of the S800, I was just wondering how you think its compares to the Yamaha VS 10 sound wise??

Yamaha VS10..general questions

I purchased this machine a couple of weeks ago, mainly because of the praise its recieved here...TY guys!.....brilliant!!!

Whats the yellow component sockets for `monitor out` etc and do I need to use them? (using a optical cable at the moment from DVD )

I remember someway back that somebody said that the sound on the `night mode` is clearer and to leave it on the setting constantly and would I have to set up the speaker balances in this mode or standard mode...any views??

I`m very impressed with this and it doesn`t do a bad job with CD`s either.
