Page 1 of Hitachi tv opinions

I purchased a Hitachi C28411TN tv about 3 months ago for £450. It came with a free 5 year warranty which i thought was pretty good value. I am pleased with my purchase and have had no probs. I was wondering what opinions other people had about this tv and whether anyone has had any problems with it that i should look out for in the future.

Had the same TV for about 2 months now, found it a very good TV, with excellent imaging (only found the 4:3 display setting option yesterday, doh!). The sound seperation is excellent as well, my only bug bear is that is lacks a bit of oomph in the volume department, however what is does is loud enough for general TV viewing.

The 411 and 511 are the best looking Tv`s I have seen.

I swapped mine for a murky grey flatscreen 523 as I need more control over my AV input`s etc.

Im glad i got the stand with the 2 glass shelves and not the one with the 1 wooden shelf in the middle. I have a nice looking set-up, silver tv,silver vcr,silver dvd,silver pro-logic stereo and a black Pace digi-box. My girlfriends mother has got a new silver Pace digi-box but the old boot wont swap with me. Still, ill be alright when the Sky+ box comes out.

Just a pointer. SKY won`t have let you swap boxes anyway.
I tried swapping boxes with a mate who has an all black set-up, with a silver digibox and I was the other way round.
SKY would NOT let us swap. All to do with serial numbers being matched to viewing cards etc.etc. bla bla bla.
No amount of pleading that all they have to do is change their computer records would change their minds. I had to buy a new silver Pace digibox for £200 and tell the missus it was a free exchange...
