Divx player, looking for a cheap one.

I am now looking for recommendations for the above,
Anyone recommend either of the following units?

H & B DX-3255 DVD Mpeg4 Player

DK DVD-339 Mpeg4 DivX Multi Format DVD Player

DK Digital DVD-500 DivX/Nero Digital DVD player

All are approx £40 to £50, just cannot decide which one to go for :/
Main reason is for Divx and wma files on TV in living room.
Is it possible to play DVD`s full of wma music files on these machines?

What would you go for?

I am currently verring towards, H & B DX-3255 DVD Mpeg4 Player. :D or :( ??

I`m tempted by the Yamada 6700, cheapest I`ve seen it is ebuyer
www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=9749278680&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=82115
£38.10 inc VAT + £5.24p&p
Any reason why you haven`t included that in your rundown?

I ask `cos I want a DIVX/XVID player, and so far that is number 1 on my list, until I read otherwise :) It looks lik it does divx and xvid ( I read somewhere some players are fussy about xvid) it does subtitles, and most common audio formats.

I`ve seen a few ppl post here who seem happy with it.

These are some recent comments from Ebuyer customers who purchased this unit:

Quote:
i was very dissapointed with the disc tray it`s very cheap and thin and mine wouldn`t even open properly without a little help by me.

I have to stress it is imperative to flash the firmware to get the maximum out of this player.

One drawback is the LCD display is rather primitive and a little tacky and the front is more grey than silver as it looks on the picture.

I know there will be some "problems" with each machine, that is why I want to try to make the correct decision to buy the best one for the money.

I got sam model in June and was happy until last night. Half way through movie picture started to break up, had to stop it and check if DVD was dirty. It wasn`t; tried again and again but DVD not now recognised in the drive. I get the following messages:- `loading` followed by `NO DISC`. Looks like it is bunched so it will be returned tomorrow evening unless someone can tell me how to fix, if firmware, firmware update etc. Yep, I tried the powere off/on exercise, left powered off for a couple of hours but no joy. Sad.

the asda dual players are complete garbage, poor build quality, poor performance, poor compatibility with divx/xvid variations.

The best on the market currently against price is the tevion at aldi as mentioned in prior posts, surprisingly noone has even mentioned that it can play Qpel codec amongst other variations which is a hell of a feature, other than that philips 720sa is a good one but a lot more pricy and probably have to buy online, yamadas are very good cos of there firmware updates too, usually get them from maplins

I got a DK Digital 500 from ebuyer yesterday.

So far so good, has played some xvids, divx, mp3s all flawlessly.

quality much much better than encoding divx to vcd to which I was doing to play on my old dvd player.

sheet of paper came with it to explain remote hack for multi region, did that and plays (as you would expect) multi region, including RCE Region 1s.
