RE: impressed thatll be the daewoo
You don`t mention what audio system your using. If its a Dolby Digital unit then the player could not effect the bass output, however if your using a Prologic amp or the built-in TV then its possible it could be lower and would need to be compensated for on your amp or telly.

thanks robert i hooked the phillips back up today just to make sure and it does seem i was being a bit critical the phillips sounded pretty much the same im running a pioneer dolby digital amp with yamaha NS-P210 speaker package i have now decided that this daewoo player is tops ive had none of the mentioned scan probs and at £179 everyone should have a daewoo what a stomping player im sure the scan is probably just as good again thanks Daz.
RE: impressed thatll be the daewoo
The scan and daewoo are identical.Apart from the colour and 1 scart.
If your are experiencing low sound try the following steps.Converts
5.1 to 2 channel which is more suitable for pro logic. The steps are
set up
stop
step
angle
Key in this on the remote. After set ip you wont see anything on the screen but i cures the problem on the sc-2000.

Thanks Nelly for your help but it now seems to be booming quite well at the old bass box maybe my coax was loose or something i am well impressed with the player and if any problems you have had with the sc 2000 are sorted and it is the same as the daewoo then i would recomend your player to everyone i was going to get a yello which im sure are great but im now well happy with the daewoo what a machine 1st class thanks again daz.ps is it true about lip sync as i have seen no evidence of this problem at all on my player.
RE: impressed thatll be the daewoo
Just out of interest, what do you think of the picture quality? I have my Daewoo connected to my TV using RGB, and on some discs such as T2 ultimate edition the picture looks superb, however on other such as The Green Mile there is lots of pixellation on dark scenes. Is this just me expecting too much from a cheap player, or do you have the same problems?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
RE: impressed thatll be the daewoo
The wharfedale is the same price as the daewoo and shows no signs of degradation no matter the DVD you watch. I had the daewoo for one day and took it straight back.
RE: impressed thatll be the daewoo
I`ve got this player and the Wharfdale - And you describe the problem perfectly. I wondered if the BIOS upgrade scan are offereing would help? Any ideas? What Version have you got - mine is VER1241, and I`d like to know if the bios changes this and makes any improvements. It also seems to bright on the picture?
RE: impressed thatll be the daewoo
They are both crap as they are the same as the scan 2000. they could be selling the players cheap soon as Daewoo are going bust. The firms uk plant in Worthing Sussex has not paid its employees for last month!! Well what would you expect from a crap player thatll be the daewoo!!!!
