Sony VS Panny...which would you choose?

A R Clarke (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Friday, 23rd January 2004, 16:44

Any help on this would be great. Which recorder to buy?

Sony RDRGX3
Sony RDRGX7
Panny HS2

Have seen the HS2 selling on ebay for between £480 and £520. These look good prices compared to other places. Any comments.

Thanks

The HS2 has a HDD-the Sony`s do not-so there is no option but go for the Panny.

Seems all very unanimous. No post from Jimbo though. Anybody have thoughts on the e-bay prices.

:/

Against the Panasonic E50 or E60, the Sonys with their newer technology can maybe compete but even then I went for an E50. Against an HS2 with its HD, there is simply no contest. Panny every time.

I think the panny is -R format but does anyone know what format the Sony is?

The Sony records to -RW,-R and +RW.But for a non HDD recorder its overpriced. It is simply ridiculous to compare a HDD/DVDR combo with a non HDD model-there is only one winner
