RE: Sony BDPS350 BluRay Player £149.99 @ Richer Sounds plus more bargains
Hi
I bagged one from John Lewis for £149 on a price match and includes a 2 year warranty - very pleased.
Community Shield for Free!
That got your attention. Does anyone know of any websites that will be showing ManU v Pompey today as set top box is playing up?
Thanks. >:(

What does "You still see a fair few IP`s scrolling in the logger tab" mean? Are you saying you are taking precautions which are still vulnerable?
RE: Anyone received a letter from Virgin yet?
Any alternatives to PG2, I am not going back to XP?
RE: Anyone received a letter from Virgin yet?
Unfortunately PG2 is not compatible with Vista, are there any alternatives?
RE: Anyone received a letter from Virgin yet?
So would you hold fire downloading bittorent stuff at the moment or not?
RE: Anyone received a letter from Virgin yet?
Mark thanks for the swipt reply. So you reckon if I download 1 or 2 albums a week from bittorrent I fly under the Virgin radar? Also the Russian service accepts Paypal so no worries about bank account hacking.
Anyone received a letter from Virgin yet?
I read on the BBC website that Virgin have already dished out 800 letters to file sharers as part of a joint initiative with the BPI - just wondering if anyone received one and what I says? As someone who has downloaded the odd album I am thinking of switching my downloads to that cheap Russian site, am I over-reacting?
Also I assume a bit of bittorent downloading of the odd TV show or movie falls outside the remit of the BPI / Virgin letter - is this right? :/
RE: LCD Monitor not working
You are spot on mate, it is the power supply. The output on the adaptor says 19v, my laptop adaptor is 15v which powers a small LED light on the monitor but is not powerful enough to to power the monitor itself.
Anyone any suggestions of where i might find a cheap replacement - the monitor spec is V7 Video Seven L19PS 19" LCD TFT.
Thanks for the help.
RE: LCD Monitor not working
Hi
Thanks for the response - I have tried all the obvious stuff you mentioned to no avail. This is a real mystery, no obvious reason for it to completely stop working.
Any other suggestions will be gratefully received.

LCD Monitor not working
Hi
My LCD monitor has just stopped working for no apparent reason. I just tried to switch it on and it look like there is no power going to it. Has anyone any experience with these things, am I missing something fundamental? Is there any check I can make to see if it something easy to fix? My feeling is it is knackered and it is probably heading for the dump.
Help please. :(
RE: Torrentleech invite?
Hi, just curious as to what this is? Is it any different from normal bittorent? :/
RE: Free Newspaper DVD
I got this one a year or 2 ago from a newspaper, they seem to be recycling the same offers every so now and again - good film though.
RE: Toshiba ep30 massive drop on play
Good spot, however they will soon be giving them away now that BD unfortunately appears to have won the format war. >:(

Once
Just watched this beautiful tender film. Its the only love film I`ve seen that has no more action than a peck on the cheek. Also fantastic sound track as it is essentially a musical.
Definately not for the cynical.
RE: Twin tuner freeview box with DVD burner and HDD ?????????
I truly doubt these exist at the moment - I wonder if the tevion is a true twin tuner in the sense of the Humax / Topfield PVR and has the same DVD HD/ burning capabilities of the Panny EX77? I could not wait for an all-in-one box so bought the Humax and Panny seperately. Would love to know more about the Tevion though.
RE: BEKO 32WLK530HID Silver 32 inch LCD TV only £100 delivered
My sympathies to you all. I hope you all get your hard earned cash back and that the thieving scum get caught. :(
What films you hoping to watch this weekend?
On my hitlist is Breach and Munich. I will be lucky to see one of them as I have a demanding young kiddy.
RE: PC World offers `free` laptop with Orange broadband
I thought about this Tiscali offer and asked Orange if they could improve upon my £12.99/ mth deal for the upto 8 mb connection. They have given me 6 months free and reduced the charge to £9.99 /mth thereafter - not bad so i will stick with crappy Orange.
RE: 512MB MP3 Player - Black (with SD card slot) £9.99
To be honest I didn`t even try the supplied headphones as I could see they were crap. Instead I am using some Koss Spark Plugs I had lying around and they sound almost as good and as loud as my £200+ iRiver H340. This is ideal for jogging and the gym as I don`t want my iRiver`s hard drive trashed.
RE: 512MB MP3 Player - Black (with SD card slot) £9.99
Yeah me and my mate got the last 2 today in Victoria. :D
Champions Again Also ... SAFC
Just thought I would bring this one to everyones attention. :D
RE: POLL: What Beer (including stout ) or Lager Tastes The best?

RE: L Word Starts on Freeview (FTN) this Thurs
FTN and Living TV are both owned by Flextech I think. Some details here:

L Word Starts on Freeview (FTN) this Thurs
Has anyone seen this, is it any good? I was giving up on this channel but now it is showing some premium content (Boston Legal and L Word).
RE: Has there been an all in one DVD freeview Dvd player invented?
Quote:
Wouldnt recommend a Panasonic because anything you record on it will only playback in a Panasonic DVD recorder, had one myself which I bought a Tesco and took it back, wouldnt even playback in a computer drive. They use a system called CPRM(copywrite protection media)to prevent piracy
Not true, I have a Panny EX85 and successfully copy loads of stuff for family and friends who all own non-Panny players. You must finalise the discs if they re -R/RW and off-course the RAM format is of limited compatibility. Perhaps you had a bad batch of discs? :¦

RE: Are sellers of defective goods liable for damage to other goods?
OK, I am not a solicitor but have a law degree. Anyway in my view the sale of the defective goods is a breach of contract and therefore you are entitled to claim for damages which naturally flow from the breach. So provided you can demonstrate that a) the goods were defective and b) such defect caused the consequential loss, which was in the course of its natural usage I think you might be successful. There is also the Sale of Goods Act which might give some joy.
