i am thinking about the Pioneer 535 any more suggestions?

dixons are doing the Hitachi 505 for £230.

Forget about Hitachi`s, Lecsons and Scans..... they are nothing compared to the excellent Philips 756 DVD player. Dixons and Currys stock it, but you can problably get it cheaper at Empire Direct`s website...

Do the research through this site and others and perhaps buy some magazines and read up on some players in you price range. Generate a list of things you want it to do and then troll through the internet on sites like unbeatable, empire direct to name a couple. The Aiwa and LG 3350 have both had good reviews from forum abusers sorry users.

Buy a Toshiba SD100 for 190 - chip it for some tenners and spend the rest on a DVD or three!

I`d suggest getting one from argos and then at least if you dont like it you can take it back - no questions asked.

I`ve got a scan and I`m happy but if you`ve got £250 to spend perhaps you`ll want a `brand` like sony.
