Digital Channels through RF output on Freeview Boxes

Axe-man (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 6th February 2003, 16:13

A friend of mine is thinking about buying a Freeview Digital Box, but her television has no Scart inputs. Does anyone know if the Freeview boxes will output the digital channels through the RF channel, or perhaps some do, and some don`t.

If she has a video recorder with a scart socket she could run the box through that.

Yep you just need to tune say channel 6 into the digibox out put. You`ll get a better picture if you go through a video, but remember you can`t tape a digital channel while watching another one.

Some do, some don`t. The Panasonic TU-CT20 has a RF output, but the Pace DVTA doesn`t (you need to buy a separate modulator if you want RF out, or just use a VCR with SCART input as droogy suggests).
