I was at Hammersmith with my wife on the 17th and we were almost at the barrier. The night was amazing and I came out of it feeling as though I had been in a fight.
I only hope that this isn`t just a one off tour because I would love to see them again.

Nor sure about the different chipsets but I have an "original" 360 core and last year I got my son a 360 arcade and his PSU won`t plug into my 360 because it is a different shape :/

Matt has tried to join the forum but isn`t having a lot of luck right now so he has sent me a response to post on his behalf


Hey. I`m Matt, the guy putting this all together. Thanks for the positive feedback on here. It`s genuinely nice to see a group with a positive attitude, and maintaining a positive outlook despite someone knocking the project for no good reason.


What we`re undertaking is rather ambitious, and no doubt there will be many trials ahead, but it`s going to be an interesting adventure and I`m aiming on documenting as much of the journey as possible on the website.

Thanks for some of the questions that have been asked, I`ll be updating the site tonight to make the answers to these more obvious. Right now, we have no set date. We`re aiming for spring or autumn 2010; we`ll avoid the summer, firstly because of the heat (it`s been so hot recently the makeup would run) and because we want the date to be as agreeable as possible with the Horde, so we won`t be doing it during school holidays when people may well be on holiday. It will almost certainly take place on a Saturday, and we`ll spend the day prepping, then shooting the Horde just as the sun sets behind some hills.

It`s likely to be shot somewhere in Sussex / Surrey, but confirming a location is some way off as well. We will look at areas that will supply camping facilities, so if you`re thinking it`s too far to travel, you could come down for a few days and make a long weekend of it :)

Regarding what charities we will give the profits to, right now we are not affiliated with anyone. We have spoken to a few, but to be honest, when you say Zombies, Lesbians, Dwarfs, Ninjas, and Space Cowboys, they`re not sure this is the right project to be associated with. What they have all said, is once we have the money to give them, they will gladly accept it :) Some will be going to a speech charity (I have a stammer - yes, I appreciate the irony that I suffer from a speech impediment and wish to direct!) and we`ll likely hold a poll on the site to decide whereas to distribute the profits. I want the website community to be part of the project and to have a say in this direction.


Not to dwell too long on the negative, but if I may, Basebat, calling this an "ill thought out venture" is incredibly arrogant. You frankly have no idea what we`ve put into this. I am well aware of the difficulty in ensuring all Zombies have a good day out, and we`ll be doing our best to make it a memorable experience for everyone. Parking, catering, toilets? It`s £10.... you want me to arrange a couple of hookers for you as well....

Seriously, wherever we shoot it, we`ll
make sure there is parking - if not we`ll do a Park & Ride scheme. Catering? Burger van on site. Toilets? We`ll hire some. Time needed and stewarding? I believe I have a firm grip on the logistics involved. You`ve missed out one of the biggest challenge - the makeup and ensuring a visual consistency across the Zombies. We`re working on that as well. Right now I`m thinking of a Zombie Blood Water-Slide and some sprinklers.....


1,000 zombies may sound ridiculous to you, but clearly you do not have the same vision I do. If we could, we`d get 10,000 :)

Basebat, I do feel sorry for you - sounds like your life is genuinely joyless. Wasting away your life being cynical is probably not the most productive way to spend your time....


Things will progress and challenges will arise that we will overcome. It`s very easy to spend your life being negative about others, being defeatist. It`s the cowards way of facing life. There is no problem that is insurmountable. There is nothing that we cannot overcome with planning and the application of intelligence.

What is most important in an endeavour such as this is belief.

I have spent years working on the script. I am determined to succeed with this project. I am setting out to make the best zombie movie. Ever :)

Positive mental attitude :)

£10, £25, £1000, if a person chooses to contribute, they are putting that money into helping someone achieve their dream. If we fail to get enough funds to make the film, the money will all go to charitable causes. If we make a successful film, all profits will be going to a charity. Helping someone achieve their dream, helping charities and those less fortunate than yourself, and having a good laugh doing the zombie shuffle in a field for a day. Those ideals won`t be for everyone, but hopefully some will want to be involved :)

For anyone thinking of joining, please do so, there are no obligations to financially contribute if you join the site. With a bit of luck, we`ll pass the £100 within a day or two :) It does take a leap of faith to contribute, especially when there is not much money raised so far. Admars has boldly taken the lead by contributing, and I hope you will all consider it.

Thanks for your responses :D I have raised the point with Matt about the location and he is going to adjust the site tonight. As for now it says

Who wants to be a zombie

Bit of a plug this but a friend of mine is planning on making a zombie film and has come up with a unique way of raising revenue for it. You contribute as little as £10 and you get the chance to play a zombie in the film. A percentage of the contribution goes to charity so it is also for good causes.

You have a good point there Ben. Our language is going to change dramatically over the next couple of generations.
My step daughter is 15 and she even speaks "text language". If I ask why she isn`t going out the response I get is CBA which I assume is can`t be arsed and if she finds something funny she actually says the word LOL !!!

Is "of" the new "have" ?

I know this may seem a bit pedantic but I have noticed more and more lately on forums and text messages I have received that people are substituting the word "have" for the word "of". For example instead of writing "I should have" people are writing "I should of".

When did this start happening and has anyone else noticed :/

Eagles of Death Metal

I bought my wife their latest cd for Christmas because she is a big QOTSA fan and there is a Josh Homme link there.We have been listening to it on an almost daily basis since Christmas and I am enjoying it more and more.
I have since booked tickets (only £15) for us to see them on the 8th April (a week before we are going to see AC/DC) and I am actually looking forward to this more than the AC/DC concert.

Forget about the gift exchange, no gift exchange allowed now since the Union Officials feel that £10.00 is too much money and Management believe £10.00 is a little cheap. What a diverse group we are! I had no idea that December 20th begins the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which forbids eating and drinking during daylight hours. There goes the party! Seriously, we can appreciate how a luncheon at this time of year does not accommodate our Muslim employees` beliefs, perhaps the Grill House can hold off on serving your meal until the end of the party - or else package everything up for you to take home in a little foil doggy bag. Will that work? Meanwhile, I`ve arranged for members of Weight Watchers to sit farthest from the dessert buffet and pregnant women will get the table closest to the toilets, Gays are allowed to sit with each other, Lesbians do not have to sit with gay men, each will have their own table. Yes, there will be flower arrangements for the gay men`s table too. To the person asking permission to cross dress - no cross dressing allowed. We will have booster seats for short people. Low fat food will be available for those on a diet. We cannot control the salt used in the food we suggest those people with high blood pressure taste the food first. There will be fresh fruits as dessert for Diabetics; the restaurant cannot supply `No Sugar` desserts. Sorry! Did I miss anything?!?!

I fixed it at 6%. I previously had a tracker and that expired at the end of July at exactly the same time as I moved house.
My wife and I looked at what we could afford and decided to fix it for 5 years and applied for the mortgage at the beginning of August.
However the mortgage rate goes now at least we know what we are paying every month for the next 5 years.

It`s like most things in life, it was a gamble.

I let my daughter (who was 8 at the time) watch gremlins and she loved it - although it is a certificate 15!!!!
