Scart Cable

Can anyone suggest me what sort of Scart cable I should get. I want a decent one that would give out good pictures to my TV.

Cheers

I have a IXOS 126 which cost 35 quid, but there is no difference between it and a good 20 pound one as long as it is fully wired & shielded.

But if you want something expensive go for the QED!

HITACHI ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

On that note, does anyone know of any `tests` that can performed to see how good/bad your connections are?

I`m using my old SCART leads at the moment, and would like to get a shiny new gold-plated one (if only because it makes me *feel* as though I`m getting a better picture), but I`d like some test.

I don`t notice any poor picture quality from DVD and Sky via a £3 SCART lead from B&Q!

Any advice.....?

Last Saturday I replaced the standard supplied cables between my Digi Box and my DVD and between my DVD and my TV with QED sqart cables.

The improvment in picture quality and colour saturation was quite impressive.

It may be possible to get similar improvments with cheaper "high grade" cables but I am satisfied it was money well spent.

There is no need to buy a scart cable at all. Just keep your tv in it`s box and imagine as if you are watching it using your brain.

God knows there`ll probably be more on it than there is these days.

That reminds me of the old `Why-Don`t-You` theme music!

Oh why am I slave to the flickering box in the corner?

Can anyone set me free? (now that sounds like a song!)

The QED scart cables are very good, the construction of them is excellent and they use a very solid plug!
The down side is they cost #50 or #45 for a 1 metre length from GILSON AUDIO tel 01642 248793.

Strange. I manage to get one from a local Hifi shop and he let me have a 1.5m for twenty quid

If that was a QED sqart cable (round translucent cabe, plugs with a gun metal body, gold connectors and shroud) you got an absolute bargin!.

If it was a different modle of QED lead it was still a pretty good buy.
