How at Dukey why is the 505 going back,the LG boy reccomends guess what an LG3350E, top player Steve 7228 is now getting rid of his Pioneer in favour of the LG due to it`s better picture quality his words not mine but then who am i to disagree.

Multiregionmagic are waiting on the multiregion firmware for the 705, this could take sometime, also it uses the c-cube chipset, and J Archer is having trouble getting MP3`s to work on it, he says the pictures good though.

Also there is a rumour that old 505`s can be fixed with another hack?
I think it is something to do with the Hi-res option that doesnt show in the service menu!

So whats the story with the 505??

I mean you had me sold on a hitachi although i was gonna wait for the 705, then u say its going back??......whats the deal??

DONT KNOW WHAT ROCKS YET......but workin on it!!!

Bobski the picture with my 505 is good, but hitachi have said it should be better and according to MRM (who put the old 505 on hold) have released a new batch with improved video, so I am hopefully getting an even better 505 with improved picture and is brand spanking new for nothing more then a few days wait:)

I just hope Hitachi have not removed mp3 playback.

The 705 has been getting good reviews, it uses the C-Cube chipset. The 505 uses the ESS. but the news editor for home cinema is having trouble getting it to play mp3`s even though hitachi say it does.

Also MRM are waiting on the Multiregion Disk for the 705!

Too much p***ing about, I will test this new 505 now, and if I am not happy with it i will upgrade to the 705 in the new year.

SO HITACHI STILL DOES ROCK JUST WAIT FOR THOUGHTS ON THE NEW 505 first.

What gives Dukey? You`ve been telling us for weeks that your picture quality is excellent/rocks etc as it was not one of the dodgy players. But now it is only "good" and therefore you are going to go for an exchange.

Seems strange to risk losing MP3 playback if your player isn`t one of the bad batch (more recent firmwares have had MP3 disabled haven`t they?).

Have you not been entirey straight with us Dukey? You need to experience the full force of the Laser God 3350 to truely know what it is to rock.
