Tut tut, taping a DVD !!
I`m not sure the Wharfedale has got a Macro hack which is why you`re getting the jump around effect.
Unless someone knows different of course...
RE: please help macrovision doing my head in
Apparently there is no MV hack. You can get gizmos to block the signal though. Plug it between the DVD player and the VCR. A little quality is lost, but that won`t show at VHS quality

sorry to hear ...that you are having the prob with macrovision on the 750
dvd player ...i have the same as you ....but i must say ......this
to get the macrovision off .....with any dvd disc you want to copy
you will need a bug blaster for the pal dvd discs or if you want to remove
the ntsc side you will need to pay £300 quid for a box that by passe`s
the ntsc signal !! which i use my self ......

£300 to defeat a warfy`s macrovision?
Try Techtronics there mod should do the job?
but 300 quid plus the cost of a warfy comes to nearly 500!
For that you could buy a vcr friendly multiregion sony 735!
or a Hitach 505 multiregion/vcr friendly player & Hitachi 980 top of the range VCR:P
HITACHI 505 ROCKS!
RE: please help macrovision doing my head in
hello squigs ; were do i get this gismos and how much does it cost ?
and what is it like?
RE: please help macrovision doing my head in
What model of Aiwa do you have. The Aiwa fx4500 is not troubled by macrovision so I can record from my Wharfedale to it although I have not had any reason to record a full movie. I tried it just to see if it was possible, recorded for 30 minutes and it was spot on. I found the sound to be a bit harsh but I get that when recording from VCR to VCR also when connected via AV leads. Sound is perfect when recorded via scart. Problem is Wharfedale only has one scart so short of getting round the back of the TV and connecting through the vcr scart to the tv I will live with the not so perfect sound
