All dvd players including sony which have to be upgrade via a hardware mod and this aviods manufacturers warranty.
It states the unit has been modified and this alters the manufacturers spec.
All mods are made by companys like us.

Basically all sony dvd players need a hardware mod which is region select so it plays all region discs including R.C.E.
Macro is off on region 2 but region 1 on these machines are true ntsc which means you need a recordable ntsc machine to deal with this.

P.S your tv must be ntsc compatible for region 1 playback otherwise ,possoble rolling and black and white playback.
