Help!!!!! I`ve tried the hack for the XR-DV370KN a few times but it doesn`t seem to work, any ideas, Thanks in advance.

Hi
It should work, and maybe you have the same problem as me, the XD-DV370 can only read NTSC DVD, so PAL dvd wont work even if you puted the good region.
To check if the region hack work: when you use the hack, does it ask for the code ? Also try to put for example a region1 dvd with a region2 setup then it should print something like: not good region.
If you put the good region: The print out will change as: check disc

As I`ve posted before, if you have the "Pal/NTSC/Auto" switch on the NTSC setting, the player will return the "Check Disc" message. The cure is easy! Select Auto or Pal!
The Aiwa has read EVERY disc I`ve given it in every form, excluding an SVCD!
AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!! (ps: those who have had trouble with the hack have had it working if they wait until "No Disc" appears on screen before entering the hack)

It does work however if you omit step 2 (enter) you will find that after you put in the numbers it will ask you for the region code . I too tried the hack several times before realising that something was wrong . Have fun

I too had probs with the hack but left my Aiwa 370 switched off overnight and, hey presto, the hack worked!
So do the hack again and switch off your dvd for a little longer than the hack suggests.
P.S. Once the hack kicks in the Macro encoding is disabled as well!

It does not!! If your player has macro disabled, mail me EXACT details of how you hacked it, and how you have checked the macro is disabled! And if you`re keen enough, a good photograph of the inside of your player.
