Fight or terminate

Sturm (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 25th January 2005, 11:31

Why do people not fight?
I need to fight

If you cant even be bothered to press the refuse/accept link then why not just terminate and have done with it.

I think your assuming they are even logging in to see it. A certain small percentage create a gremlin and never play beyond a day.

Crazy I know, but hey they must be!

Is it not posible for these gremlins to be auto-terminated? Although the new activity bar has helped see who is fighting so you don`t wasye challenges, its a pain when you have a young gremlin having to look through pages of gremlins to pick active ones to challenge. If the dead wood was removed it would help.

As a new boy to this site and still learning my way around it was a while before I got into making all my 10 challanges. I seem to be getting about half of them lapsing because of the time out. This means my activity bar is low. I am looking to fight but Half are not being excepted. Perhaps they are on holiday?
Perhaps a deletion if not acessed for a period might help, or an indicator that willing but not able.

The first couple of days of a grem`s life can be a bit time consuming - especially if you`re new to this game (as you probably don`t know who are regulars). I think the best piece of advice is to look at the fights the grem`s around you have had recently.

You can do this from the Challenges page, by clicking on the Gremlin`s name (instead of the Challenge link). Look for those who have had several fights today, and give them a challenge. Chances are that they`re active, and will probably accept your challenge.

See how it goes - if you`ve got spare challenges, look for The Immortal Bulk Slogan - he punches like a g*rl [edited for PC: a feeble organism of a neutral gender], so you might get a few rounds out of him...

Choose a birthdate to coincide with your friend`s grems. Choose your enemies. Choose your friends. Choose a forum post with matching opinions. Choose your 10 challenges from a range of ****ing gremlins. Choose staying up for the league update, wondering where you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that chair, watching mind-boggling, bone-crunching fights, stuffing ****ing humble pie into your opponents mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, fishing around for opponents with 1500+ in dexterity and stamina, earning nothing more than an embarrasing 3 XP points from the selfish jumped-up brats that have spawned to replace your top spot.

Choose your future.

You can also try having a second window open showing the league table (and the gremlin`s age). Don`t challenge any gremlin that`s older than a baby.

Although new I am not that new. But thanks for the idea of having a second page open didn`t know you could do that, sounds like a good idea.

Master B nice to see someone else who starts work early? Would have replied earlier except my keyboard would not work, it must have got a gremlin!!!! 8).

Perhaps they should go on holiday if only to kick sand in the faces of other weaker gremlins.
