New fight code will get an update very quickly methinks

The new fight code is very good statistically speaking, across 1,000 fights the gremlin you expect to win does indeed win.

However, looking at the actual matches they are pretty one sided which effects XP far too much, so I will be changing it today. :/

One thing I noticed is that it actually seems to favour the low strength approach. When I fight gremlins with higher dexterity and stamina, but low strength, and win, they get bonus points for being the weaker gremlin. I thought the new system would make strength more important? It means when I scrape a win against someone higher than me on two out of three counts, they get bonus points!

Agreed, I have been getting some very unexpected redults, often with my oppenent getting a perfect KO

At the moment, I`m just finding it all very confusing - under the old code, I had a reasonable chance of knowing whether I could win a challenge or not, and if I`d get much XP out of it. Now, I just haven`t got a clue :(
I`ll just to have to fight lots until I work it out.

I am also having somewhat odd fight results. I have very low strength but very high dexterity. I add to my dexterity from stamina giving a total of 1600. I`ve just fought a gremlin with dexterity of 1000 and not been able to avoid an attack even once!?

Would appear that now strength is the most important category, with dexterity being the least important. As I`m way too old to bring my strength up to anything like it needs to be I guess I just need to continue ploughing my points into dexterity and hope for the best. :/

I think when it goes all the 20 rounds the XP gained should be tyed to the ammount of damage recieved to the ammount of dammage you gave,

so more XP if to you gave 300 dammage and only receved 150 and there wassnt a knockout

that would help stop high dex+stam with low strength getting lots of XP

There is definitely something strange going on. I just won a fight in 2 rounds against a Gremin of similar stats to mine. I managed 1 punch that was 8 points over my Strength score. The fights that 2 days ago were going 16+ rounds are now finishing inside 5. I think I preferred the old system :(

Amen to that, Flagers II, win\lose ratio has plummeted against opponents of comparable ability, no matter what tactic (or lack of) he uses.

:o :/ >:( :( :p (yep! the last one`s directed at you chewie)

What`s to stop young gremlins from issuing all challenges to the biggest gremlins in order to always gain loads of XP.
At the moment I`m only gaining on average about 4 or 5 XP with my baby gremlin for each fight, yet if I challenge a much bigger gremlin then I`ll gain 15 XP each time. :/
