Why create a gremlin if you are not going to bother fighting?

The original 42pcenter MD (Elite) posted this on Monday, 20th December 2004, 11:09

I chalenged the bellow gremlin only to realise that it is getting on, but has not had one fight. Why bother if you are not going to play?

Very. I have had 10 fights but have 25 waiting. Now I have stats that are a bit higher than the ones I first challenged, so if they ever do check thier gremlin they won`t fight me any way. I am being penalized (sp) because people are lazy.

It`s not fair (he says stamping his feet)

Same here - my stats are arounf the 100 mark but loads of challenges are for people in the 50`s :/
Tamagochis (sp) used to die if you didn`t feed them. Gremlins should die if they don`t fight.
The Gremlin commitment is not something to be taken lightly ;)

Have you ever thought people may create gremlins, get sidetracked with something else and forget that they signed up?

The whole world doesn`t revolve around this site. :)

Just ignore those with 0 fights, it isn`t the end of the world, this is supposed to fun after all.

Arghh, I got a new baby last night, challenged 10 people around my stats in the table, and just realised that 9 out of 10 of them are not babies, they are inactive. So basically I`ve wasted a whole days challenges, it`s very annoying. >:(

What!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No it`s not. It`s about winning and beating the crap out of other gremlins. I also find it hard to belive that someone would forget. You get an E-mail every day reminding you.

I was just toying with an idea that might solve this
not sure on the code behind Gremlins, but to me it sounds like it`s easily implemented...
challenges expire in 3 days. if you have challenged other people you get a report on lapsed challenges and have to clear them with the click of a button.
maybe it can be made so that somebody who recieved challenges and didn`t take care of them within 3 days has to remove them manually as wel. that way lapsed challenges would still count toward the 7 challenges you can have waiting, putting inactive Gremlins on Busy fairly fast, and thus active Gremlins won`t be able to waste challenges on them anymore
