Page 1 of Star Wars: AOTC - Mind Blowing!!!!!!

saw this last night at midnight and was simply blown away!!!
this film was simply stunning and a welcome return to star wars as we know it. the CGI was breathtaking. if you thought LOTR was good, then you aint seen nothing yet! the story was good and the acting fine. hayden christenson was ok and there was definately that chemistry between him and natalie portman. sam jackson kicks arse and yoda, well seeing is believing the stuff theyve done with him. this is where it all starts with the movie leaning now towards the original trilogy. even the music is gearing up to it with moments youll recognize from the other movies.
better than TPM?, better than A New Hope?, better than Jedi? most definately! better than Empire? almost.....

Better than A New Hope and Jedi? I dont think so. It is good. but not THAT good.

Seeing it tonight, but I can`t see it being better than A New Hope. Although I can see it being better than Jedi and Phantom. You`re right when you say Empire is the best, though ;-)

I think that any film would be better than jedi - that film totally blew!

Hopefully the extra stuff Lucas is filming for IV to VI DVD release will extend the good bits in Jedi, i.e the space battles, which were never long enough.

I wouldn`t go as far to say the film blew, though LOL

Jedi was much better than A New Hope and Empire. A New Hope really doesn`t have much substance to it (farmer boy gets in an x-wing and blows up a space station), and Empire although admittedly has a strong story building presence is nothing more than boring. Jedi however, ties everything up in a nice little bundle and smashes it into your face. Conclusion of a love story, luke`s fight to defeat his father AND the beginning of his private battle with the dark side (read the books), ewoks with logs etc defeating a technically and physically superior foe, and the biggest space fight throughout the series (although I haven`t seen AOTC yet). Admittedly they all beat TPM although Darth Maul was cool.

Ahhh, arguing about Star Wars, this takes me back....LOL

Just goes to show how much impact these films had on an entire generation. If we all liked the same ones we wouldn`t be able to argue ;-)

I wouldn`t say Empire was boring, it`s my fave and also the best photographed, in my humble opinion. The themes in Jedi were spot on, it was just the execution that let it down.

havent seen II yet but...
a new hope excellent, empire great for about half then a bit boring, jedi excellent until the ewoks !! Phantom kids stuff but alright. Watching episode two tonight.

Ok, I take back my comment about jedi blowing, it was going quite good until those f*cking ewoks turned up. My personal favourite was Empire, it was definately the best made of the lot of them. I think this was reflected when the special editions were made, there were hardly any changes to it, whereas new hope and jedi had over a half hour of extra stuff added!
