Page 1 of Nerve conduction study - anyone had the test?

Just wondering what to expect really. Got parts of my feet without sensation. Doctors are out of idea's because all the other tests came back OK. Didn't fill me with confidence

The usual cause of numbed nerves especially in extremities like legs and feet, is bad blood circulation/even the onset of Diabetes, but if the doc gave you the all clear on that, then be thankful for that.

There are other diseases that can cause nerve damage, but do not want to worry you further, you need to do the following.......

See how the tests get on, get some answers, and if not, I would ask your doctor for further consultation with a nerve specialist (NHS or private, not sure who your with), as there will be a root cause for nerve damage, whether temporary or permenant.

Cheers Bandi. I haven't looked further into it because if I do I'll end up diagnosing myself with some terrible disease when it could (pray and hope) be something minor. Gave up smoking, now I'm falling apart. Sods law!

I have the very same or similar problems. Both feet are always cold, lack of reflex action (Doctor ran a key against the soles of my feet with no reaction). In my case it is down to phuqed sorry "Ruptured/ flat/damaged" intervertebral discs (L3/4/5 ?? )

Choagy, was it a new/old injury that caused your problem? I had a bad fall back in my school days, hanging off a tree branch that snapped and the base of my back had a close up of the road curb, a 3ft fall if that but had to play rugby after  

Not sure a 30 year old injury could cause problems now?

Mine is exact opposite...my feet always feel like they are on fire...like i have burnt them in the sun...saw doctor yonks ago and they prescribed me folic acid stuff they give pregnant women... which i took for a wee while and gave up on..now when i crash out i always leave me feet outside the covers.....
